Mike Waddell Big Bass Winner Roger Ward 2nd Big Bass Winner Jim Kent  On Sunday July 18th twenty four anglers showed up to compete in the Team Supreme Super South Divisions 2nd tournament for 2010. Mother Nature and the Mississippi River have thrown almost everything they have at these anglers this year causing the 2nd scheduled tournament to be postponed and the 3rd tournament to be moved to an alternate ramp. Mother Nature didn't take a day off this Sunday either. The anglers were greeted with a storm front packing 60-70 mph winds and heavy rain. After a 2 1/2 hour weather/safety delay 20 anglers went on to compete in what many thought would be a very difficult day of fishing. For many it was tough to get a bite from a keeper Largemouth Bass, but Roger Ward and Matt Kipling managed to haul in 6 fish weighing in at 14.38 lbs. Mike Waddell and Dan Goeke gave them a run for the money with a 14.01 lb limit taking 2nd Place. Mike Waddell was able to hold on to 1st Big Bass with his 4.63 pound lunker while Roger Ward took home 2nd Big Bass with his 3.01 pound Largemouth. Jim Kent had his lucky shirt on sporting his Team Supreme patch that earned him $50 for his show of support for Team Supreme. Great job to EVERYONE that participated in this tournament. Many anglers would run from conditions like this but you guys just made the best of it. Tournament Directors Darrin and Teresa Kirkand would like to thank the Super South anglers for there continued participation in these events during a year that has had some of the worst river conditions in years.
